2021 Marks 95 Years in Business for
American Paper & Twine
When American Paper & Twine opened its doors in 1926, there were two founders, one truck, and one Nashville warehouse. Nearly a century later, there are now 338 employees, over 90 trucks and seven locations across the southeastern United States.
Founded with a singular focus on remarkable customer service, American Paper & Twine’s original tagline was, Just Ask For It, We Have It. While the tagline has evolved into an homage to the company’s name (It’s Twine Time), one thing that hasn’t changed is our commitment to delivering remarkable at every turn.

AP&T is still independently owned; Bob Doochin, whose father Nathan was one of the founding fathers, and his daughter Karen Doochin Vingelen, are Chairman & CEO and President & COO, respectively. It is because of their strong leadership and business acumen that American Paper & Twine has been successful for so long.
American Paper & Twine continues to grow and adapt. In recent years we have opened a new distribution center, expanded operations to increase our delivery area, and launched the new ShopAPT.com.
